The back story of Juan Corbétt

Here is the back story of Juan Corbett’s life.

Juan was born outside the Goulash train station on the way to Paris. Pops was having an opening in Hong Kong, Mum was on the way back home. Mother and Father had a studio flat on the Left Bank in the City of Light.

After a few years it was decided the streets of Paris might not be the most suitable environment for a growing boy. It was decided he was going to the family’s ranch for the formative years. The paternal grandparents home place dates back many generations in the highlands of Spain.

Here is where the foundations of life were defined, all the metaphors for ride’n, rope’n and wrang’ln were learned up in them hills. Lil’ Juan’s formal academic training began in Europe, first one Art School then another. Eventually landing in North America, then South American beaches. Sometimes Gypsies souls gotta roll, and he is still rolling today.

A little back story on the parents. Early in this young families careers they were always on the go trotting across the globe. Mother was a Prima Ballerina for Spain’s National Dance Troupe, later becoming the director. Father was the stereo typical Parisian artist with showings around the world, later a tenured professor at a leading European University. How did they meet? Thats a fun story for another time perhaps. A couple of love birds they were.
